My work is about bringing you into my creative and whimsical world through visual expressions of memory and imagination. I invite you to develop a dialogue with the movement and atmospheric spaces of my pieces.

Through my paintings, I connect two of the most meaningful things that have impacted my current state of being: art and travel. Whether the reference is abstract, residing in the viewer’s imagination, or referential to a specific excursion, I incorporate the movement inherent in travel into the movement in my work.

My thoughts are continually darting between memories of physical travel and the world of illusion. Besides traveling to new places or returning to places from my past that hold particular meaning to me, I am inspired by traveling through my thoughts and exploring intellectual and imaginary travel.

I am also influenced by the journey that is life, remaining conscious of other people, their intellectual growth, and the changes that occur as one travels deeper through life. I believe peoples’ soul, essence, and personality travel with them growing, expanding and adapting.

Ultimately, I hope to inspire you to travel as well, through the multiple layers and novel punctuation of my quirky visual style and personal language, creating your own philosophical, psychological, and individual dialogue with the piece.
