As a young girl, I loved to draw animals and faces. I was inspired by my mother who worked as a colorist for portrait studios. When my sister and I were young, my mother would work at home and I would often watch her paint with oils. I became very interested in oil painting , but not until I was a young women.
I attended classes in
Quincy and on the South Shore. I studied with
some talented teachers. However, I have done a lot of painting
on my own. I have enjoyed painting a variety of subject matter
from figures sunbathing at the beach, street scenes with
figures, lobster and fishing boats in the harbor, still life
and animals.
